Testy Quick Beer Cheese Dip Recipe

Dunk soft pretzels, chips, or veggies in a crowd-pleasing Quick Beer Cheese Dip.  

INGREDIENTS

– 1/2 cup beer, such as IPA – 1 1/4 cups whole milk – 1/4 cup unsalted butter – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour – 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard – 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika – 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce – 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

While the heat is on medium-low, warm the beer and milk in a small sauce pot. Do not let it boil.

Melt the butter in a separate medium-sized sauce pot over medium-low heat. Add the flour and stir the mixture while cooking for about two minutes, until it tastes a little toasted.

Add the smoked paprika and Dijon mustard and mix them in well. Slowly pour in the warm beer mixture while stirring all the time.

Add the chopped cheese and Worcestershire sauce and mix them together. Cook, whisking often, until the cheese melts and the mixture is smooth. Serve right away.
