Best Christmas Saltine Cracker Toffee Recipe

This festive Christmas Saltine Cracker Toffee recipe takes minutes to make.  

INGREDIENTS

– 48 Saltine Cracker – 1 cup unsalted butter –1 cup packed light brown sugar –2 1/2 cups mini semisweet chocolate chip –2 Tablespoons vegetable or coconut oil –Christmas sprinkles, for topping

Heat the oven to 400°F. Wrap a baking sheet in foil. Place crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet. Stir brown sugar into melted butter in a small saucepot over medium-high heat.

Boil the mixture for 3 minutes without stirring. Spread caramel evenly over crackers.

Toffee should be baked for 5 minutes, then cooled for 5 minutes. While cooling, mix chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir between 30-second microwave increments until smooth.

Add chocolate to the caramel and spread it evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle sprinkles on wet chocolate and let the toffee cool for 30 minutes.

(Alternatively, freeze the baking sheet for 15 minutes to solidify the chocolate.) Serve broken toffee.
