Best Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread Recipe

Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread is a moist fast bread with luscious apples, cinnamon, and crunchy sugar topping.

INGREDIENTS

– 2 cups plus 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour, divided – 3/4 cup sugar – 3/4 teaspoon baking soda – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe, darkly speckled banana – 1/4 cup buttermilk – 2 large egg – 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 1 cup small diced (peeled) apple – Sanding sugar (optional)

Heat the oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and cooking spray.

Mix 2 cups flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Reserve the bowl. Mix mashed bananas, buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla in a medium basin.

Add wet ingredients to dry and mix until incorporated. Toss diced apples with 1 Tablespoon flour in a small bowl until coated. Pour the batter into the loaf pan after folding in the diced apples. Dust the top with optional sanding sugar.

Bake the bread for 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. The bread should cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
